err… why didn’t you just try running the in-sink grinder to get rid of whatever was causing the clog?
-or you could have tried putting a glove on and feeling around in the sink to see if you could have taken out the gunk that was stopping up the plumbing… (at least, those two things are what I usually do whenever I encounter something like this while washing dishes :))
