Otakon is DONE. It was pretty awesome. I shared a table with Mayshing, and Chris shared with Nicole not far away. My sales were pretty bad compared to AN because the artist alley was HUGE and everyone in it were pros, but I still did profit quite a bit so I am fine with that. I got to meet a bunch of awesome people, though i met most of them on my way out of the Alley when the con was closing rofl )= cus I didn’t have many chances to get away from the table; my partner was so busy doing portraits that she got a line/crowd going LOLOL. I get to leech business from her.

The few times that I went out, I saw soooo many DA artists, like hiku, Budgie, Ruina, Ramy, Korilin, Toby, a bunch of people that I didn’t know the names of. Since the convention and the alley are both huge, it’s not surprising that people come from everywhere. I was so happy that a lot of people who knew me from DA came and said hi. It was also funny to hear ppl going like “hey I saw this on 4chan/photobucket/dunnowhere” LOL. (speaking of 4chan, there was a 4chan panel…) Some really nice person came and bought ALL my stuff… I agreed to go visit her table the next day but she wasn’t there anymore =( and it was super special awesome to have someone GIVE me fanart at the con ;;;; near the end I finally found toby and subsequently a few other people that I didn’t know before. We did some print trades and talked for a little before I had to run )= driving for 9 hours isn’t something we could delay LOL;

I’ve always had this problem about distraction when I work. I always need some kind of distraction when I am getting something done, be it essay, drawing, website, etc. Every few minutes I’d need something else to spend my attention on so I don’t get deathly bored of what I am currently doing. (Does that count as ADD?) My distraction had always been, of course, browsing; chatting doesn’t count cus it’s an integral part of being on the computer TEHEHEHEH. But DA only has something new and interesting in intervals of like a day, youtube takes up too much attention, and bash.org… well… I ‘ve read like almost all of the good quotes out of the database so nothing new there. So in the end, I end up spending a lot of time in between work trying to look for interesting stuff, a lot more than I could spend working, and most of the time I don’t find anything good.

However, after watching the talk-videos on youtube recently, I’ve noticed that I like to listen to people talk. It doesn’t really matter if it’s boring BS or news and whatnot, as long as it doesn’t aggravate me, it serves my attention pretty well. So I’ve been listening to the talk radios online while doing my pics and manga and stuff for the past few days, and something that’d normally take me like 3 days to do was done in 1. So I guess I shall be doing that from now on now. (well, except when I’m doing essays lolol) It also brings a little bit of the outer world to my presence from under the well, so 2 birds with 1 stone…!?!?

It kinda makes me feel like I traced someone’s style there. second attempt to colour from sketch; hopefully it will go well and reduce the amount of time it takes me to CG…hopefully. Drawing line art makes everything easier, but it takes more time to do that than colour, and it limits the amount of depth I can put into a drawing if I don’t do special treatments to the lines afterwards.

So like I gave up waiting on the Singapore Granado Espada to fix their connection (I couldn’t connect to their servers at all for some reason, same problem for a number of other people) and went to play the American server when they released open beta (They called the game Sword of the New World though… lame). I had a fun 2 weeks playing it. Depite all the beta bugs and lack of player base and PK worries, it’s a beautiful game. It makes me feel attached to the characters and the world for whatever reason. It’s almost like an RPG with other people running around too. (what am I saying, it IS an RPG, it just feels more RPG than MMO.) I wish I could keep playing but because of it, I’ve been getting nothing done. On top of that, I’ve gotten high enough level to get PKed (there are no carebears servers on this version of the game… sucks) and I don’t feel like trying to play the game while assholes are ruining my fun. Also, I’ve reached the grind endlessly stage and I didn’t feel like going through so much trouble just to get wiped in the end. (they’re wiping after open-beta–wtf? who does that?) So I quit the game. I hope that it will be a successful game in general, though statistics show otherwise ]= if it were I’d have more reason to convince myself to play it. Oh well, at least I’ll get some stuff done this way!

More mansion interior. My team never exceeded level 51 LOL;; so I couldn’t enter this area of the mansion. My friend let me fly around on his account with his wizard to check the place out. Levitation is so cheap.

Since we’re only level 50/60 ish, we couldn’t explore the higher level fields and dungeons. So we decided to charge through them with pots and stuff just to check the places out. We only made it through Jasquin; We tried to get to the ice wizard’s tower afterwards but I get 1hit flying knocked out with style on the level 100 maps so nothx;;;; Here are the Jasquin SSs. Every SS was taken at the risk of death for me because monsters there hit like half of my hp LOL. My friend’s wizard got it easy cus he can hide and fly. BUT WE WON
