Someone sent me a note on DA privately concerning my very bland and uninteresting “pastel” colour palette. It is something that I can’t overcome; a lot of times I cheat when I finish a piece, and increase contrast/use layer modes to alter the overall image. I’ve tried to not rely on those methods and learn to be daring with my colour choices, but somehow it never really worked due to my lack of a keenness about art. I’ve tried harder on this piece, and so far I think it is eye-piercing enough to be an improvement. No contrast/overlay things involved! Aside from the sharp lights though, the colours are still pretty dull lol;;

3 weeks left before I must finish pieces I want to sell at AN; I actually had a nightmare that it was like 2 hours before AX, and I was like HOSHITIHAVENOTHINGTOSELL IHAVETODRAWSOMETHINGRITENAO. The fact that I only panicked 2 hours before the con is KIND OF SCARY, and I worked hard to get started the next day loooool. It looks like I’ll have to resell a lot of last year’s stuff this year because I have nothing )=

RO had a 2x exp week (possibly in compensation to the retarded server problems recently, however fun it was to watch half of pront get disconnected) so I finally 99ed, and rebirthed with my friend. He’s a high wizard now and I’ve just started working on my high aco, but thanks to his mind-blowing connections, I was somehow slaved in sphinx and leveled on Anubis. Though it was only for an hour, I am already job 43. I feel so indebted to these people because I’ve never helped them before, some of them are only here to visit because of the free 15 day returning players thing, and they did that for me. I don’t know how I can repay them (draw something for them? lol don’t even know if they’d care enough), I guess I’ll just pass on the generosity to others in their honour.

Only 1 ss though, my 99 SS. And after all those nice little angels I posted before, you’d think I would’ve done a better job with my level 99 one, but nope :(!!

My bed is comfy, my room is awesome, every meal is grand, and LOTS OF TIME TO WASTE (well, technically, I’m supposed to be studying for my last exam, but fuck that). I’ve been playing lots and drawing lots, although my client does not want me to show what I’m working on at the moment, so I have no WIPs )=

I won Anime North‘s design contest again, so I will be able to attend afterall. I have to start churning out some new pieces, as I haven’t for a whole year. I also have to get my ass back to toning all 40+ untoned pages I’ve accumulated in the past 8 months while moving onwards. I still much prefer these tasks than returning to more school work though, so it’s all cool. Can’t wait til I can shrug off the thoughts of school completely, even though I probably have already done that in the past few days.

My blog entries are also in such boring formats. They’re not dynamic at all… it’s always text/art/screenshot, in that order, depending on context. My life must be pretty bland!

Priest 98 LOL;; I didn’t think this would happen so soon as I had been leveling the traditional way, sharing with a wizard at a non-GD map, and 1.xmil/hr is as good as exp gets. That is until I checked out Anubis at Sphinx from the latest update, and went on a leveling spree. It feels so good to solo, while getting hacks exp. Too bad they drop nothing though, save the odd healing staves and rings.

Doing Nameless prerequisit quests, going to places I’ve never known existed.

The bot’s ass bugged the fucking church portal we had to go through; it took half an hour before we found some shroom biochems to poly things to kill him )= it was pretty funny while it lasted.

As said by many people who have done this quest already, Thors quests can go suck a dick. I was almost at the portal until the fucking imp 10k fireballed me.

It will soon be over. That is, after my piano lit name-that-tune test, orchestration final, and theory essay (oh my god what the fuck), and the performance of an opera written by a friend. Then the most hellish school year thus yet will be over!

On a brighter note, spring is here. Well, not so bright for people living near the Thames River because it flooded due to the melting of this winter’s epic snow :’D The parking lot and recreation fields across from our building flooded; some overnight parkers had their cars half submerged in water with ducks and geese swimming leisurely around it. I’m not sure whether to feel sorry for them or laugh at the situation, because it is kind of cute. The cool breeze (or gust at times) and the sunshine of awesome is very enjoyable too. Oh and, NO MORE RUNNING AROUND IN MELTY SNOW/ICE/SLUSH YEY

I haven’t been eating well lately because I didn’t feel like cooking after my work/play balance has been disturbed. I hope I didn’t lose too much weight lol (is there anything more left in me to lose)

So I open my message box, and thought a random user has spammed comment on all my submissions again as I see a flood of mudkip avatars. Then I realized they all have different usernames. And I discovered my avatar was among the victims:

Then I realized it was a joke. I kind of thought the mudkip avatar was funny, so I saved it, and went to try to change my avatar into that so I can keep it after today. At the profile setting page, I was greeted with this:
