This is the first time I went to AN without a helper/partner, and HOLY SHIT it was difficult to setup/take down on my own because I brought so much crap to make my life easier during the con. I was like dropping stuff all over the place outside and blocking traffic ROFL. and I turned down like 4 people’s offer of help because the day before, my dad was all like YOU SHOULDN’T RELY ON OTHER PEOPLE’S HELP, IF YOU TRY AND THINK YOU’LL FIND A SOLUTION when I was talking to him about setting up and I was all spited and stuff uuuffhh. But Draiad was such a sweetie and helped me out <3
ANYWAYS this year I ran into a lot of RO fans, I think it’s because I printed 2 more RO pics lol. this is like the 10th time I’ve said this but I WISH RO WAS HUGE AND SUCCESSFUL. god I’d love to just make a pure RO stand. I also wish they could just get rid of the pro wrestling area next to the artist alley, HOLY SHIT those bunch are loud and I couldn’t hear myself half the time BUT IT’S THERE EVERY YEAR ]: I didn’t take pictures of anything because I had to stay at my table for the whole weekend. Come to think of it I don’t even remember taking pics of friends that came by LOL I’M SO HORRIBLE. I’ll just have to ask minyi for that ONE pic she took of us……
speaking of minyi, turns out she stayed at a place very close to me so I took her to and back from the con for 2 days. She didn’t wake up on the second day and totally jumped when I busted into their bedroom LOL and she was so out of it after that and couldn’t do BASIC MATH…… That’s ok though, her kawaii asianness and awesome free print (fist to whoever that took the one I wanted) and British accent makes up for everything. I swear if I hang out with her for a few more days I’m going to start talking in that accent……
I drew a bunch of sketches on the last day because I was so sleepy and didn’t want to do more commissions. I was a GENIUS and slept at 3am on both friday and saturday nights so I was like brain dead for all of sunday. I was leaning backwards on my chair and drawing on my table at arm’s length. when I was done I look up the paper and they were all long and slanted and trapezoid shaped and WARPED because I was looking at the paper from a weird angle. Now I have to free transform them on photoshop back to whatever strange angle they were at before…… and all the sketches were so generic because I couldn’t think of anything interesting. I tried to make a character design but it was kinda meh and bland cus my brain couldn’t function. At least there was no wrestling on the third day ]:

prelim design for Rae (sangyun is his last name). most of the asian names in the story would phonetically mimic the chinese pronunciation. While I like asian names names I just can’t stand the authentic spelling, not to mention half the time it’s pronounced wrong. So I might as well make up cool english names based on chinese pronunciation! I need to look up chinese clothing to improve this ]: I have very limited ideas when it comes to oriental designs. The rug on his back is like wolf skin but I don’t know how to do it LOL. He’s a young bookworm mr. nice guy king. He’s kinda like Keri save for the fact that he’s not naive to the point of stupid

We’ll only be staying in Paris and Venice for 3 days each, and I want to go to versailles so that’s probably like -1 day already. I’ll definitely try to convince my friends into stopping by some galleries though. There sounds to be a lot of shopping involved XD I have to make sure I don’t go broke AND have a way to bring everything back lolol.

Well I spent about the same time in both cities, but all we did was visiting and stuff. And yes, Europe is very irresistible. Oh, I forgot to mention, you can also go see the cemetery of Pere Lachaise, were Chopin is buried, but I think I should stop blabbering. XD In any case, what are you going to do there? Visiting or do you have some things to be done there?

I'm glad to hear you're going to Paris and Venise. :) I went there in Mars, and I must say you'll have a fantastic time. If you are looking for any interesting places to go, well obviously Notre-dame de Paris. Hopefully you'll have time to stop in some of the France museums; Musée d'Orsay is simply fantastic with all the impressionists and the beautiful colors they use in their paintings. It was very inspiring. Louvre, also, but this one is so huge you'd have to spend two weeks visiting it to see everything. If you stop by there, check out Delacroix's works (especially La liberté guidant le peuple), the gigantic Noces de Canna, Bottticeli's works, Michel Angelo's slave sculptures, and of course, La Jaconde. ;) In paris, you simply must try the bakeries. This is no joke. What they got is precious sweets that you won't find anywhere else. Also, if you are ever in a hurry to eat, you can go grab some pasta boxes. There are a lot of little shops that give you custom pasta in boxes for you to take if you don't have time to stop in a restaurant to eat. If you still have time, take a tour in the Champs Elysees that lead to L'Arche de Triomphe. One last thing. On the egde of the Sienne in Paris are people called 'booquinistes' who sell prints. Go check them out, because I bought some super stuff by De Feure and Mucha and I'm sure you'd find stuff you'd like too. They also got a lot of galeries in Montmarte, which is a bit like the artist neighborhood of Paris.
For Venise, GET YOUR HANDS ON ICE CREAM. You won't ever find better ice cream than in Italy, and I say go for it if they offer super extra sizes. Italians eat ice cream day and night, summer and winter. I doubt you can miss the Piazza St-Marco, since it's a big attraction place, with the the Basilica di San Marco too. In Venise you'll obviously get lost with all the little canals, but there are transport boats on the Grand Canal that can take you from one island to the other. You'll find lots of jewelry shops, where they sell Murano Glass necklaces and such. Also, there are a lot of Mask shops, but only a few are good. The best we saw is called "Papier Mache". It's hand-made masks, beautiful and gorgeous to the point you want to buy them all (look the address up if you ever plan on going there). In every mask shop you can also buy blank masks, that you could paint yourself afterward.
Oh and your sketches are wonderful, as usual. When will Vocruen ever appear again?

Weather isn’t that good right now, with temperatures around 10-15°C, but it should get better by Friday, going up to 30°C. Of course, it’s usually a bit colder on the mountain, and there often is a light breeze too.

Well, I don’t know of that many “iconic†places in Luzern other than the Kapellbrücke (an old wooden bridge over the river). But I’d generally recommend a walk around the old part of the city, it’s just nice and lively (and often a bit overcrowded xD). There are also many churches or museums, if interested in either of those.
If you just want to go for a walk you could first take a short trip by boat (one stop) from the station, and walk back by the lake, takes about an hour.
You could also go up on the mountain Pilatus, but that’s a bit of a stretch if you’re only there for a day.
Don’t really know what to do in the evening either, other than go to the KKL (http://www.kkl-luzern.ch) for a concert if something’s on, it’s usually classical music.

I don’t know much about the places you’re going, never even been to Venice or Rome, I only know that Luzern’s the best choice of the bigger cities in Switzerland.
Plus, if you want any recommendations for things to do there, I’d just need to know what kind of activities you’re interested in and I might be able to help you.

God, either you're too good at free transform or you're just…good. I feel it's the latter. Veloce's stand in the first pic is kinda odd, but her design is really nice and…whimsical? I dunno, your designs tend to have this musical-flowy feel to them. And that's prettyyy *__*
