I ALSO NEED TO GO GET THOSE SHIN ANGYO ONSHI BOOKS FROM JENNY and then hide them… because my aunt in China also managed to find and buy them. So now I’ll have 2 sets and my dad will be like why did you ask me to help you buy them if you already have help STOP WASTING MY TIME AND WASTING MONEYfffffff
I also wonder if my aunt skimmed through SAO when she got them, and I can’t wait til my mom randomly reads them and start thinking to herself, omfg why does shilin read such fucked up stories LOL
On an unrelated note, I suddenly totally fell over with a fever a few days ago. I’m much better now even though my throat is going to be good game soon; at least I don’t ache EVERYWHERE and feel like I’m climbing a freaking mountain by walking to the bathroom. I was so bored out of my skull I translated some parts of Blackbird into Chinese and fixed like all of my dad’s laptop problems while being immobile in bed.
I’ve also moved all my crap back upstairs to my old work room because it seems unlikely for the summer heat to return again this year. I can’t work in peace anymore because my dad took up half of my desk with his work stuff and he’s always behind me now. Like all Asian parents, their colourful commentary about my WIPs aren’t always encouraging so I usually don’t work in front of them ): HOPEFULLY MY WORK RATE WON’T BE HINDERED TOO MUCH. I just have to carefully plan when to work on what lmao

although the pic is already not turning out the way I expected it to be (I didn’t mean to paint it like this but ended up doing so after painting her face and hair) I’m having a lot of fun going nuts over my own characters again. If only drawing everything is like this SIGHHH
I’m going to call this done (: The new layout is now up! Surprisingly it didn’t take a lot of time–or maybe I enjoyed it enough that it seemed quick. Like every update, I restructured things so that maintenance would be easy to do, and updates are all done in one place. I’m pretty happy with the result! The site is also feels less cramped now with more margin space, line space and less excessive text, which is what I wanted to fix about the last layout. Please let me know of errors you find and any suggestions you have to improve ease of use!
There are still a few problems with the new layout that I don’t know how to solve. My blog is not installed on the same domain as my website, and code I use to retrieve the most recent entry on the website front page doesn’t display paragraph formatting properly and I pretty much gave up on making it work. I’m considering switching over to an excerpt because any wordy entry would just be a huge wall of text on the front page. wow, fixed
The left side of each individual web page also feel empty. In the blog, the information tab fills it up a little. For other pages, I don’t really know what to put on it. I want to keep stuff concise and show off the art, but right now it’s a little lonely.
And here’s a sketch to cancel out the text, although I’ve posted it a few years ago when I first drew it. I picked this as the Blackbird piece to work on in the end (because really, I just wanted to draw a really ornate picture) but I suddenly got carried away with the site revamp lmfao
