Trying to use colours I normally don’t/can’t use. I kind of like this 100% opacity brush business because I don’t get stuck blending obsessively, and I have to force myself to find the right colours instead of blending until I hit the right colours. I guess I tried too hard to make it soft and pretty and failed in the contrast department LIKE USUAL. Everytime I get so close to ctrl+L’ing the image to make them look better, but then I thought it’s just an unfinished sketch and I’ll never conquer my problems if I trick myself  lol. I am ashamed to post this picture though after seeing minyi’s dbz keri sketch LMFAO

In other news my parents told me they bought me a new digital camera for christmas lmfao. I told my mom to not do it when she asked me if she could buy a camera for me, because not that I am terribly professional or take a LOT of photos or anything, so my current one (despite being a piece of shit) is good enough. I would rather use that money to buy something else higher on my priority list. Besides, I don’t trust their knowledge with digital cameras either because if I really were to buy a new one, I would want to buy a really good one because I’ll be using it for another what, 10 years LOL. So I kind of wish I told them which one I wanted instead LMFAO… but yeah aside from that CAN’T WAIT TO GET A NEW CAMERA ‘v’

I was talking about a portfolio I made in portfolio class in grade 12 (2004) with a friend, and decided to dig it out to look at it again. My mom crammed a lot of other crap into the case but I looked mostly at the pages and pages of life drawing that we did for the class. It was a lot of fun but MAN I SUCKED SO HARD AT IT LOL. most of them looked like bad animu because that was the extent of my artistic abilities. It wasn’t a real art class, so I received very little instructions about how life drawing should be done or what one should look out for on these drawings. I had absolutely no idea what the fuck people meant when they talked about form, negative space, tones, and other fancy art terms and no one explained it to me so it almost was a huge waste of time. I also doodled a gay anime face next to like every single figure I drew HAHAHA THEY’RE AS EMBARRASSING AS THE FIGURE DRAWING THEMSELVES. In the end I was rejected by the school, and only 2 people got rejected out of the 22 in our class that applied. At the time I thought it was most likely because I was passing out on the table when my appointment at 8am was late by like 2.5 hours (this helper came over and told me to not do that and the interviewer was unimpressed), but now that I look at the pieces, they were just bad LMAO

浪费了两个小时后终于成功地将博客数码库的设定改良，从此以后就可以随意输入中文了哇哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈… 不过过程还真够麻烦啊，没想到这么一点小事居然花了我两个钟… 还没把以前几次失败所浪费的时间加进去。为了让这些被浪费掉的宝贵时间加以好好的利用，就写一篇中文文章吧！

最近好无聊啊，虽然还没到厌倦的地步，但是从早到晚只画漫画挺够呛的。 要是全是黑鸟的话还没什么关系…应该是说，恨不得从早到晚只画黑鸟。每个星期都努力画超秘漫画，因为早一点把每个星期的页数画完，就可以有更多时间画更多黑鸟别的东西。

其实想输中文也是因为上次提到黑鸟人物的中文名字，本来想写在这里的，后来全变成了问号白费心机。编中文名字可比英文名字有意思多了；我所知道的英文词根很少，所以最多也只能尽可能把名字编得好听一点，没什么意义。中文嘛，一个词典可以带你走好远。我把主要人物的名字都大概定好了。就算不注上英文名字我想也很容易猜到哪个打哪个：

狂海： 这是世界的名字，直接从英文翻译过来的。虽然应该是漩涡，但是狂海好像好听一些。
伊澜 · 舞诗烈： 身手厉害的主人公嘛，姓应该翻译得夸张一点。名字跟英文名字不一样，因为取英文名的时候是以简朴为中心而起的，所以中文也想取得简单一点，虽然听起来还是满贵族化…
里诚 · 夜悼黎： 名字其实是很久很久以前我在某个梦里听到的。记得在梦里我问他他的中文名字是什么，他告诉我是“里程”。“里程”不太好看，所以我自作主张改成“诚”字，反正也适合他的个性。姓也是翻译出来的，虽然一点也不适合他（悲哀至极点…）以后会再改吧!
薇莲： 还没想好姓该怎么办，但是薇莲是地道的北方人（笑）所以名字挺易改。
苍云 · 泪： 英文名字是从中文译过去的，因为他也是北方人。大部分北方人已经在很久以前的灾难中消失了；他们的家乡北彻底毁灭，幸存的都南下到如今的狂海生活下去。他们保留着北方人特有的文化，其中之一就是他们取名的方法。他们的姓都是从大自然中取得的，像花草，天气，地势等等。每当小孩出世，每个家族都会看属于他们家族的姓的东西，取其之素质而命名新生。泪出生的那时，云海正下着细雨，所以得名苍云泪。北方人命名时随意把姓放在名前或名后以便组词。
海瑞和玛伦： 这俩的名字没什么意思，因为不是主要人物lolol
夜阑和冥月： 剩下的重要人物也就只有两个了。一个是像伊澜／里诚一样改的名字，一个是黑鸟的真名，猜猜谁是谁吧！
