(┛°Д°)┛ノ ┻━┻ I decided to take a break from drawing manga pages (have 4 more pages done) by drawing something quick and random, and by quick and random I actually meant takes me like 10 hours and kill my pencil `u` And the best part of this was I didn’t mean for it to be a full page or expect to do any intense shading so I did it in my SKETCHBOOK and the binding coil and edges of the book were killing me LOL GOD I HATE SKETCHBOOKS Q____Q and it was a little too big to scan pfff
About the picture, if you don’t read CP/don’t remember, the black crap isn’t veloce’s summons or soul or friends or enemies, they’re just there to harass people who can see them. She could see them a long time ago but I guess after I read xxxholic I really got influenced on how the spirits there just pile on watanuki HAHA. Also the picture is kind of ruined by the fact that she looks like she’s hip locking like a boss but I didnt’ want to fix the lines in photoshop because I would have to change so much shit ):

Hey, Shilin, maybe you should buy one of those sketch books where you can pull the pages out, but it doesn't have a binder 0A0 I have one myself actually and it's very good c:

haha well, that would really just be a binder with plastic sleeves and I'd be drawing on normal paper XD not saying it's not a good idea though!

Aww, I knew Veloce cared about those kids <3 I kind of love/hate spiral-bound sketchbooks; they're misleading about their useable space but there's just something so endearing about them. Do you carry it around with you? My friend got me a moleskin for portable nonsense…which works as long as it's small nonsense.

nah I don't carry around drawing gears unless I'm going to a convention haha, I leave drawing for home XD And I usually just do it on loose pieces of paper; I'm only using this sketchbook because someone gave it to me as a gift and I wanted to finish it lol

Oh man, 10 hours?!? Please tell me this wasn't in one sitting! I'm not the biggest fan of coil bound sketchbooks either, been using printer paper for years(which is supposed to be an artistic no-no). The depth and shading on the spirits that emanate from Vel is what really makes this sketch.

A powerful piece, I love it. You could probably pass this off as a poster 'cause I'm sure it will attract a lot of people. Maybe fudging with her vest can fix some of the hip-locking problem? That's the only creative "shortcut" I can see. xD

it's too rough close up to be used as a poster Q__Q but I can't really clean it up either because it'd just be overboard LOL UGH I hate that about my work, I can't stand it if I don't go ocd over my drawings, but when I do I kill the feeling in the drawing ):
