I thought I wouldn’t buy a new sketchbook because of all the crap I had to put up with, but in the end I still like being able to just flip to a page and draw I guess… and my table wouldn’t just be littered with sketch landmines that my parents can randomly flip over and detonate HAHA. So I bought a new one but I didn’t know how to look for what kind of books to buy, the pages in this one turned out to be really soft ): my hb pencil feels like a 2b on here ffff I like hard paper

more breaks! I did this last night in 5-minute intervals because I really wanted to sketch shit but I felt guilty since I should be working on pages HAHA. poofy clothes and bare legs LOL I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY FOR MYSELF

  1. If you have a white border around your prints, those sharpies could be used for autographing them :D! In terms of sketchbooks, have you ever tried the Strathmore ones(http://j.mp/nYYkZK)? Their paper quality feels heavier to the touch, and their one of the few companies I've seen that produce pads and sketchbooks that flip from the top(which is nice for lefties like myself), also I know Barachan recommends them for sketching. Good luck in New York!

      Thanks! I don't like top flips but in the end you can flip the book however you like haha, you can draw right to left if it bothers you! and the link looks like they aren't really sketch books (bound etc), more like sketch papers D:?

    If you don't mind my asking, why are you headed to NY? There's a con there next week so are you planning on attending?
    And as always your stuff looks amazing. Absolutely fabulous stuff, and can't wait to see what you hatch up next.

    • { Shilin }

      yes!! I will be at the artist alley on the 4th floor :D

    • { Kaya }

      That's great! I'll be sure to look for you. For sure I'll buy a few prints!

    Do I spy a Papa Iriel?! so cute. Aw, wish I could go to NY, or lived in the general area. You tempt me so with your ART BOOK, omg. Congrats on that! I'll have to stalk for the grand online sale. Have fun with those sharpos. Don't use them for illicit purposes –eyes those sketches hurhur–

    • { Shilin }

      aww now you made me regret not making him papa iriel, but that's ok someone else's relative will be there!

  4. LOL I know what you mean I had sketches on random sheets of paper until I learned to finally use a sketchbook. What kind of sketchbook did you get? *is a bit of a sketchbook/notebook addict* I have all sorts, not sure about what you mean about "hard" paper. XD Does that mean paper with more tooth? XD

    • { Shilin }

      I don't know I just found one that opens nicely at walmart LOL;;; I THINK THAT'S WHAT I DID WRONG. I don't know what tooth is but just like I like drawing fine and light lines, and right now everything I draw is dark and thick ):

    Is it cool if I ask if your landmines have ever detonated before? :P
    Those sketches are scandalous though ;) But I can't imagine what you'll use those Sharpies for in the future ha ha xD.

    • { Shilin }

      probably but not in my face! and they try not to make unnecessary comments nowadays
